This beautiful Fine Genuine Persian Hamadan Enjilas Rug  was woven by tribes people in the Central region of Iran in Enjilas, a small village near Hamadan. It is a fairly recent weave; thick and strong in excellent condition.

It has a woollen pile, woven on a strong cotton warp and weft. It has a most attractive colour balance of reds, and indigos. The soft wool has a lovely silky luster and the rug is quite a fine weave as seen on the close up shot. The attractive central medallion design is quite typical of this type of weave. There are also numerous pictorial floral motifs throughout the entire field.

Village rugs of this quality are saught after and in high demand and should serve the owner well for many years. It is a good strong heavy weave. Most desirable and ideal for a heavy traffic area.
