The rug is a stunning  and rare Super Fine Birjand, one of the finest and strongest Wool weaves we stock.  The rug is a recent weave and is brand new. It is woven in Birjand in North East Iran. Representing over six months of weaving time. This rug is an excellent example of its type. The intricately woven design is an all over floral Herati design, the rug having a lovely dome shaped medallion in the centre. Birjand Rugs are becoming increasingly difficult to find and acquire.

The colours of this rug are stunning and jewel like, cream,sky blue, indigo  and terracottas.  The weave is particularly strong and very fine as seen on the back photo.

The colours are well balanced. Most desirable and ideal for a dining or living room. Master Weaves of this quality are highly collectible and in high demand, the size is particularly uncommon. This rug will serve the owner well for many years.
