He was an Ironmoulder. He was a Victorian from 49 Hoddle St, Richmond and he returned there after the war. He died in 1921 and has a plaque in his name in the Victorian 'Garden of Remembrence'.

International time zone information
As a rough guide, at present, Australia is about 9 hours ahead of the United Kingdom, 16 hours ahead of the United States East Coast and 19 hours ahead of the United States West Coast.

Postage Information
Registered Postage for domestic Australian buyers and International Registered Postage for overseas international buyers.

All Postage, Domestic and International, is ‘flat rate’. For International buyers, Customs & Excise labels are usually marked either 'Gift', 'Sample' or 'Personal effects returned to sender'.

I combine postage on small items so it is the same price for postage for one item as it would be for say 10.

I have a policy of refunding any postal overpayments made by the buyer so I refund postal overpayments via PayPal as soon as possible.

In any event, I always obtain a Certificate of Posting from the Post Office as proof of posting. Insurance is not usually optional (unless listed as such) but please be aware of the fact that ebay and PayPal only pay out if a fully tracked, i.e. door-to-door delivery service is used. If the available insured/recorded service is not used I am not liable for damage to your items in transit or for non-delivery. However, in the unlikely event that an item goes astray, I will do all I can to assist you to recover your loss.

Due to previous fraud and as a matter of future fraud prevention I will not post to and have NO TRADE with ebay  users based in China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Nigeria, and generally to people whose emails/address etc appear suspicious.

Payment information
I accept PayPal for which there are no charges to the payer. I also accept Money Orders, U.K. and N.Z. cheques (on the condition that they clear before the items will be posted) I do not accept U.S. cheques, sorry. I also accept UK Postal Orders and US International Postal Money Orders, pink version, not green as the green one is only negotiable in the US. Personal cheques (but not from the USA) are accepted. All payments to be received within seven days of the auction close. Your winning bid is a contract, please honour it swiftly. Should you be planning bidding upon further items from this auction I can await payment until all your bidding intentions are completed.

I always leave Feedback for my bidders or when I buy. I provide positive feedback for ALL prompt paying customers. I do not generally wait until you give me your feedback. I do this because I am confident that you will be satisfied with your purchase. A Customs guide for New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States and Canadian bidders 

New Zealand residents can find information on Duty, GST and import entry transaction fees by visiting the Customs site at www.customs.govt.nz or by contacting their local Customs office. At the time of writing, most privately imported goods are subject to varying rates of Duty, GST and import entry transaction fees. However, Customs say no revenue collection will be made if the total amount owing on the goods imported is less than NZ$ 50. Gifts sent from persons abroad to persons resident in New Zealand are not automatically free of Customs duties, but gifts with a value of $NZ 110 or less are stated to be allowed free entry.

United Kingdom residents can find information on Duty and VAT by visiting the Customs site at www.hmce.gov.uk or by contacting their local Customs office. At the time of writing, goods of UK £18 or less in value (excluding postage, packing and other miscellaneous costs) and gifts from one private individual to another providing the value does not exceed UK £36, may not attract Duty and VAT. If indeed your purchase is a 'gift', you must tell us when you place your order to allow us to complete the customs declaration appropriately.  

United States residents can find information on Duty by visiting the Customs site at www.customs.gov or by contacting their local Customs office. At the time of writing, most personal shipments worth up to US $200, and gift packages worth up to US $100, will pass duty free as long as the recipient does not receive multiple packages in a single day whose cumulative value is more than these amounts.  

Canadian residents can find information on duties and taxes by visiting the Canada Border Services Agency site at www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca at the time of writing, most personal shipments worth up to $20 CAN, and gift packages worth up to $60 CAN, may pass duty free. Note that the gift exemption may not apply to items sent by a business.  

I recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your ebay order. If any additional customs charges are incurred during your shipment, they are not calculated or monitored by us nor are they our responsibility.  

You are responsible for ensuring that the content of your order meets all import requirements in your country.
