WWII USA messenger bag- Langdon Tent Co- made in 1943

 This is NOT a replica- It is an old US army bag that was used by a friend of my father- he is now long gone and their family line has run out (sad)
I think this should be in someones collection rather than in a cupboard in my dads garage.

It is in pretty good condition- as you can see from the pics there is some discolouration of the canvas- i guess you can expect that for something made in 1943 (stamped under the flap.)
there is a number written in pen under the flap MM (Matthew Mochelle) and his "number" S39301490, (and again on the inside of the bag) there is also a star (in pen) on the top of the bag- not sure if this is from the original owner- or kids.

there are two stapps also included- a short one and a longer one. there is  3 compartments to the bag- one on the outside (with a button to secure it shut)
and 2 under the flap.
