Framed 'Ex Libris' Bookplate - 'The Mermaid'
Framed Book Plate - Ex Libris, based on the
original 'Mermaid' illustration by Norman Lindsay.
This image was created by Norman Lindsay for his
close friend Frederick Claude Vivian Lane, Australia's first Olympic
swimmer, who won two gold medals at the 1900 Paris Olympics.
Lane was a Master Printer, producing the book The
Bookplates of Norman Lindsay in 1944.

The Book Plate is on a black background and framed under glass in a 3.2 x 1.5 cm wooden Moulding
finished in Walnut & Black.
