This receiver covers 20Mhz to 1100Mhz and displays (8617b - 321) when booted with MAN key depressed
This receiver could be best described as being in near MINT condition with almost no markings to the front panel other than a 0.5mm mark to the lower right of the display adaptor and a few other very minor and almost undetectable scratches to the front panel
The lower cover has 3 missing cam lock screws
The rear panel has some missing covers for the BNC outlet sockets.
The left rear D handle has been bent slightly inwards.
The top and bottom aluminium covers have slide type scratch marks from where the receiver has been inserted and removed from a comms rack.
Other than that....... It's in near perfect physical condition!
Operationally, this unit has a synthesizer lock fault with the red LED on the synth board lit.
All other functions work including the VFO, Memory, display adaptor, antenna switch etc.
It produces white noise at the Phones output, but does not receive or resolve an external signal at the antenna input due to the out of lock condition on the synth board.
I have not been able to source a service manual for this receiver, so have been unable to find and rectify the fault.
For all those WJ enthusiasts out there...... it's probably easy to fix!!.... you just need to find it!!!! I don't have the time or the will......that's why it's for sale!!
