Built 1/72 (Heller) Hawker Hurricane Mk IIc; South-East Asia Camoflauge. BAsed in Chittagong India, 1944. See pictures for the terrific paint job and seamless build. The paint is done perfectly in correct colors and SEAC scheme. While being surpassed in Europe by 1944 by newer types, the Hurricane was pressed into service in the China-Burma theatre to great effect. Hurricanes with their heavy-hitting 20mm cannons were ideal at ground attack against the Japanes forces. The Burmese theatre was incredibly rough, and the aircraft were subject to severe weather and airfield conditions. Here, several squadrons of Hurricanes with their rugged construction and wide-set gear excelled in conditions which would usually leave the more delicate Spitfire grounded. Hurricanes directly supported the British and US gurrella forces against the Japanese. With no artillery support and a continuously moving front-line, the Hurricane became an extremely accurate close-air support aircraft. The Japanese were held at by in Burma and suffered heavy losses until the end of the war. Get this while it lasts; a steal for the initial asking price. Shipping is 9.00 USA, 11.00 to Canada for insured airmail. International please email me before bidding; shipping can be very expensive overseas. Will combine on shipping. Paypal required by 3 days after purchase or I start non-paying bidder proceedings. Thanks for looking.
