Astroloma epacridis

No Common Name

This plant is not on the Australian Weed List.

This  native perennial lives south of a line from Geralton to Esperance in Western Australia where it prefers light to medium, well drained soils in an open, sunny position. It is drought resistant but dislikes frost.

Growing to a height of 0.6 metres with a spread of 1 metre. The stems are numerous supporting a densely textured crown; the leaves are heath-like; the flowers are reddish orange, tubular, five petalled appearing in autumn and winter. The fruit are small berries.

The seed of this plant is rarely offered by the seed wholesalers because it is difficult to collect and therefore expensive.
