Up for your bidding mesmerization is a yellow spine picture cover of “The Whistling Pagpipes”
in Near FINE condition!

I use to see these books every few months but I have not seen one up for auction for quite a while.
This one is a beautiful copy.
I have been hoarding it for years.

The cover painting with its’ color is utterly gorgeous! The green, yellow, blue hues reach out and pull you into the interesting depiction of the story.

No fading to front cover. Very light scraping in a few spots.

Pictured is a painting by artist Rudy Nappi of Nancy in the Scottish Highlands humming /tooting/whistling into a bagpipe! Although, all I heard was mere silence, aside from the hum of the ac.

The Plot:
Nancy was warned not to travel to Scotland. However, that hardly deters our famed heroine from setting out on a “thrill-packed adventure”.

Nancy visits her great-grandmother in Scotland. Ergo, the super-sleuth is at least part Scottish-American! (With a name like Drew, lineage is hard to determine without the big clue: they tell you! ;o)

I enjoy the cool artwork by artist Rudy Nappi! Very popular cover!

Inside the book lists to nothing: there is no list, nor should there be!

The book contains one attractive plain frontispiece and some internals.

Clean book.

The post card (order form) is just a bit loosened (but not loose) as if some young Nancy fan was going
to order a book, tore it a little and changed his or her mind.

It is firmly attached.

There are all sort of neat characters and a quiz and answer key.

The back cover which is slight very slight soiling lists to ND’s “The Whistling Bagpipes”.

THE COVER IS NOT FADED IN THE BACK- JUST SLIGHTLY- THE PHOTO REFUSED TO COOPERATE.

All in all, a beautiful, SCARCE vintage Nancy Drew which is highly collectible.

This is definitely one of the nicest I have seen
as it is hard to maintain the tri-fold intact this well.
