How does it work ?
Carbamide Peroxide is the preferred bleaching agent used in dental bleaching. It will become active when in contact with your teeth and produce a gradual lightening of the surface enamel. It is far more stable than hydrogen peroxide (used for bleaching hair) and therefore has a much longer shelf life.

How long does it take to work ?
Most should see an instant difference in the first treatment! If not, almost always the 2nd.
For lightly stained teeth you should only need two 10-15 minute sessions (20-30 minutes a day). People with badly stained teeth should achieve a bright white smile within 7-14 days at approx 2x 20-30 minute sessions (40-60 minutes a day). The longer you leave it each time, the quicker you will see results.
How long does the whitening last ?
This will depend on a number of factors. Do you still smoke? How much coffee you drink etc. Whiteness can last years, but we recommend that you repeat the procedure every six months to maintain your desired shade of whiteness. Subsequent treatments are often far quicker to work than the initial one, like a 'touchup.'
How much gel do I need ?
Not as much as you might think. With the mouth trays inserted over your teeth, they will hold just under 0.25 of a CC each. If you use too much gel it will just get squeezed out and be wasted. Our kit has enough gel for approximately 40+ x 10-30 minute treatments.
How long does the gel last ?
Carbamide peroxide is very stable. If refrigerated it will last for up to 3 years. If not refrigerated we recommend that you use within 6 months of purchase.
