1952 hardcover with dustjacket. Published by Phoenix House Ltd. First edition. Will James was a famous early 20th century cowboy from Montana USA. To quote from the blurb:
“This illustrated collection of Will James stories is designed to give the reader a year or so of life on the range. Told in easy cowboy style, these yarns follow man and horse through all the seasons into all types of activity – roundups, rodeos and even rustling. Here are the dangers and exciting events of the cowboy life, and they come from the best-known of all cowboy writers, who spent years of his life riding the range.”
The book itself is in very good condition. Some bumping to corners, and a stain to the rear board, but very clean otherwise and solidly bound. The jacket has been price-clipped and has some tears to the edges and some stains on the back cover. There is an old sticker on the front cover that I have a feeling will be difficult to remove. 243 pages. Illustrated by the author. Measures approx. 19cm x 13cm.
