 Rare Australian split cane 3 piece rod built by famous rodmaker Wm Southam in Sydney, this particular rod is signed and is the "No 2 Balmoral Rod" when assembled it is 10ft 6"in length.
This rod would have been designed to fish for blackfish or luderick and the name "Balmoral" suggests it was named after the Balmoral Beach area where there are plenty of protected rock ledges perfect for fishing for blackfish.
All bindings and guides are original and there is also the matching Southam rod cover, it is extremely rare to find a Southam rod of any kind in this condition.
