Very old wooden chest with hinged map/plans/drawing compartment in the lid. This is the original paint and would look great with a clear coat of lacquere to keep it safe or repaint to your own desired tastes ,one thing is for sure you will look for a long time before you find anything like this again ,cheers and happy bidding.

A: yes mate i am not sure what type but the exterior is all solid dovetailed timber which is still very solid the only ply is the map/plan tray in the lid cheers

A: as far as i can tell there is no borer or white ant or wood rot , very solid old chest. the size is 640mm x 420mm x 340mm cheers and happy bidding
