YAMAHA DT250 DT 250

 

Up for auction is a Yamaha 1975/1976 DT250

 

Has been owned since 1978 and it has been used for light farm work, last registered in 1982.

 

The bike is completely original apart from the handlebars and the left hand plastic side cover is missing. 

 

The headlight and taillight work but I think a new battery is required to make the indicators, horn and brake lights work. 

 

Starts first kick every time, little bit noisy in the top end, but I have never had a problem with it. 

 

The seat is cracked in a few spots and the tank has a couple of minor dents.  

 

Easy restoration or ride as is. 

 

I think the reserve price is quite reasonable based on the originality of the motorcycle. 

 

It has original tool kit and the original key which fits the seat, ignition and head stem lock. 

 

Frame number and Engine number are matching.  Number: 450/034447.

A: Hi There is some very light surface marks on the rims, but excellent for a 35 year old motor cycle.

 Q: Hi, Is there any rust on the fork downtubes under the rubber gaitors? Thanks.
A: No the fork boots were fitted to stop damage, the seals and oil has been replaced and have not leaked since. There maybe some small pit marks on the upper but nothing major.
