YESS 1TB Twin Tuner HD PVR Set Top Box MPEG 2,4 USB 2.0

Introducing the much anticipated addition to the Yess range of HD  PVR’s. The Yess DVB-T4688U Twin HD Tuner PVR with USB 2.0 is set to offer a whole new range of quality features at a price that will blow Tivo like models away. USB offers the final solution for archiving and transfer to PC.

Twin HD Tuners  make it possible to record one or two channels simultaneously and watch a previously recorded program at the same time. Record crystal clear free-to-air television with stunning picture quality in High Definition.

 The DVB-T4688U now includes USB input/output for transfer of files to PC for archiving, burn to DVD and playback of MPEG 4 (.trp),MP3 & JPEG photos via USB flash drive or HDD. The unit can even record directly to a USB stick or external HDD. You can also transfer files from the internal HDD to an external HDD or flash drive. Most USB PVR’s only allow you to copy files out of the device, The DVBT4688 works in both directions. This new unit is fully MPEG-4 compatible and ready for the new free view channels as they become available.

Timeshift for pause rewind live TV, Full function Universal remote with learning abilty, teletext and closed captions, favourite channel programming and a quick edit tool for deleting advertisements from recordings. This unit also meets Australian Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS): In "Stand-by mode", the electricity consumption is less 1W.

High definition multimedia interface (HDMI) output allows a single cable to transmit the highest digital audio and video to your TV, AV receiver, or any other HDMI enabled device. Where supported you can also watch your favourite programs in Dolby Digital or AC-3 in 5.1Ch surround sound via HDMI, S/PDIF audio outputs.  If your unit doesn’t support HDIM the unit also includes component RGB or composite AV connections.

With the advent of Free View and an extra 15 digital free to air channels starting in 2009 the Yess DVB-T4688U is the perfect solution to all your Standard Definition and High Definition Digital TV recording needs. The majority of TV channels in Australia are heavily broadcasting in HD (1920x1080i) WIN Television has confirmed the launch of GO! on Channel 80 for its viewers Sunday 9th August. The Western Digital WD AV-GP SATA hard drives installed are manufactured specifically for PVR recording to meet demanding A/V operational environments. With power reduction of up to 40%, they deliver cool and quiet operation and  longterm reliability.

These drives are designed to last in high temperature, "always on" streaming digital audio/video environments such as those found in PVR recorders and media players. The drive arm frequently sweeps across the disk to reduce uneven wear on the drive surface common to audio video streaming applications.
