Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute Rack Tom 14 x 12

Up for sale is my 14 x 12 Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute tom. Maple Custom Absolute is top of the range Yamaha. The Yamaha site talks about maple being rich, warm and offering lots of sustain, making it the perfect wood for all musical styles. This drum has a surprisingly broad tuning range. Basically, when you buy a top of the range drum like this, you are simply getting the best and if you're seriously looking at this drum, then I probably don't need to convince you! It cost $869 when I bought it and I'm sure new one's are worth a lot more. It currently has a played, but undamaged, coated Emperor on it and a completely unplayed clear Ambassador on the bottom. The drum comes with an Ace Case road case. The Ace Cases company no longer exists, but this case was one of a custom order for my drums. It is factory lined with foam on the inside which has helped to keep this drum in amazing condition. If you so nominate, you can also buy a CL945A tom holder for an extra $25 (new price is over $90) plus postage, though note, the tom holder does not have the standard issue memory lock. I got this tom as part of a custom order - a 6 piece drum kit, sounds great, right? Yeah, but that's a lot of drums to cart around and the novelty quickly wore off and i went down to a 5 piece for a bit before settling on a 4 piece combination that didn't include this tom. So it's been sitting around not doing a lot - and I've finally accepted that i'm a 4 piece kind of guy! I'm hanging onto the kick and other toms - I do love this kit after all and I'm planning to update my electronic kit with the money from my various sales!
