• It been used as a paint drop sheet, but this has not compromised this quality long life yankee. It just means the price has been reduced, with no down side in my opinion. If you look at the photos you will see that any taken from 2 or 3m away make the white paint impossible to see. Made from approx 6oz dacron cloth by Horizon Sails. It is fitted with a 5.5mm boltrope and piston hanks have been added later. Luff 13.3m x leech 9.9m x foot 5.6m. This sail is in very good condition, structural rating 7 out of 10, and has no other damage than the occasional broken stitch, see photos. This sail has a uv protection canvas strip added to the leech and foot. It's cream colored uv, so not real obvious that its even there. The uv does have many small holes but is still ok as is. If you want to take the hanks off and use the sail as a furler, then I estimate you should get another year or 2 out of the uv. If you want to use as is with hanks on, then the canvas adds strength to the leech and foot areas of the sail, a bit like a 2 ply leech and foot. This will make the sail last longer and stretch less! How good is that? As a #3 yankee, I believe it's good enough for round the world cruising duties. Why not buy a needle and thread from my store and DIY. Equipment like this comes in handy again and again. No extra freight charged if the purchase is combined with this sail purchase. Most freight is sent via Couriers Please, with signature required upon delivery. If no one is home the item is usually held by the courier until redelivery can be arranged. A calling card should be left with the phone no. for you to call the local courier and arrange redelivery. Items are usually dispatched within 1 working day.
