Up for auction is an antique Hedman Mfg Co Lightning Check Writer.  This was made in Chicago Ill.  The bottom state that it is a series 500.  It also has 1020073 on a bottom plate.  I am unable to determine if this works as I have no ink to check it.  The buttons on the front to change the number do move. 

It is size 9"x7" and is 11"high.  It weighs 12lbs.
