beautiful colonial period cedar hand mirror/looking glass. appears to be strung with ebony and two lighter timbers . inlaid with mother of pearl similar to fashion with colonial chest handles .small hole drilled through bottom shell for string handle or like. mirror insert has appearence of mercury glass[yum]. one small thumb nail size reverse flake to silvering . unsure of what was verso but would obviously take isert .suit needlepoint or tapestry .would be great with small painting of ship or like. beaut old patination . originally from hobart town family. great aussie folk art/ colonial relic 28cm x15cm dealer price 99c no reserve fine art packing and safe delivery to aust post office for $20 to australian buyers /no extra charge for stamps. please note if this service does not suit your budget "do not bid" thankyou.
