Beautiful antique c1905 huge and extensive Wedgwood dinner set. I purchased this dinner set at an estate sale, and when I bought it home to look at the backstamp and see how old it was, I really couldn't quite believe my eyes. It seems it has been in the one family for literally generations and probably used for the most special of occasions! To me, it is the perfect dinner set for serving food. While I adore all of the floral ones - I think food looks its very best displayed on a plain white plate, and the gold floral embossed rim in this instance adds elegance and interest. The set comprises:

16 dinner plates
14 entree plates
18 under plates
14 soup coups
13 side plates
13 other side plates (slightly smaller, perhaps cake plates)
Large platter
Lidded tureen
Gravy boat
Points to note: there are no cups and saucers - which gives you an excuse to bring out your lovely floral tea set - there is a minor hairline to the base of the gravy boat and tureen. Obviously age-related - but they are still perfectly good, and of course would never be seen when in use!
