Genuine 1972 VH charger 770 in rare factory Limelight colour which is the model below the RT chargers and includes many of the components found on E49 and E38 models including the extra spotlights in the grille,RT fuel filler etc.
The Car has been in my shed for quite a few years( picture included just before pulling from shed) and I have decided I do not have the time to Restore it so we gave it a wash and added fuel and car fired up and drove with no drama's. The car does have some rust but as the car has nearly all original paint except for a couple starts at repairs and covering up bad paint which are the undercoat bits. I have included pictures of the major rust bits on the car but overall the car is in very straight and rust free condition with no accident damage. This is the perfect car to put a new Paint job on and rego to drive.
Driveline : 265 cu hemi in really good condition , previously had head and top-end overhauled including cam etc. The motor runs well with no smoke on startup or running, it has no lifter noise or rattles. The engine runs a 2 barrel Holley( I have air cleaner,just took it off for picture) and Extractors with near new exhaust fitted before storage. The car runs an auto trans which is running fine. The Front has Gas shocks and Noethane Bushes and near new tie-rod ends etc so the car will drive alright but need to be checked as been in storage a while. The rear brakes need bleeding as they had no fluid when I fired up car after storage, I put fluid in so just need a bleed. Car starts first kick
Body: The Body is straight with no major dents and does have a few area of rust which would need to be fixed for rego.
- Both Quarters are good with worst rust around outside of wheel arches as shown in pictures , their are a few small holes in bottom of rear quarter section.
- Boot floor is good with only a couple pin-holes around wheel arch area.Their is a couple pin-holes around boot seal area.
- Drivers and Passengers floors have no rust and are in really good condition.
- Front windscreen area is good with no rust.
- Engine bay has one small pin-hole as shown in pictures.
- Cars paint is faded and peeling in a number of areas but as original paint it will be easy to sand back for respray.
- black vinyl on outside top of doors is cracked and peeling, I have new vinyl for this area.
- Tires on Front are in good condition and rears are fair condition, Rims are dirty and need a good clean and polish.
Interior: The car comes with a complete new interior retrim kit which includes front and rear seats,Top of door area and rear parcel shelf area, this is an original material and colour interior kit which I have had since I put car in storage , you would look at $2,000 plus to get this type of quality kit nowadays.
- Seats in front have rips but padding is good so easy for recover with included retrim kit
- Rear seat has no tears and is in ok condition
- interior carpet need to be replaced, I have some near new really good carpet to go with car
- Dash and lights etc all seem to still be working fine,tacho in dash is working etc.
- Roof lining is ok but dirty and has a come away at the back seat side area and would need a little re-glueing.
- Door trims are original and in quite good condition , front drivers arm rest pad is ripped and need replacing.
Overall the car would only need a couple weekend to fix the rust bits to get it ready for rego or it is great base for restoration or to build up an RT look a like.
I can provide a complete 4 speed conversion kit with gearbox,bellhousing,flywheel and all the clutch pedal parts to enable conversion to manual to successful bidder for an additional $1,000 , note kit is not for sale seperately.
