coil wire for minelab gold metal detector sd,gp,gpx

Minelab metal detector coil wire. You cannot use just any wire when making coils for these metal detectors. The wire must be either Litz wire (super Expensive) or Tin plated multistrand. The wire needs to have insulation made out of the correct material to have a high dielectric value. The wire needs to be within critical resistance ranges or the detector will not work. Without going into all the technical jargon this is what you need. The coil should be around 0.5 Ohms and around 300uH. This wire fits these requirements for coils of 6 inch up to 4 feet in diameter.

To make a 20 inch coil it works out to be 19 turns. This wire is light Grey in colour and is supplied on 100 meter reels.
