This is one hell of a handy device – It lets you connect just about anything to your computer and even allows SATA hard disk drives to slot straight in to the caddy effortlessly.

 

There is no need to mess around with screws and enclosures to see what is on a drive, card or USB device.  Just plug it straight into this docking station no matter whether the hub is plugged into your PC or your TV!*

 

Copying from your PC to this hub when connected by eSATA is at least 10 times faster than using USB 2.0. Our testers cloned a 500 Gigabyte drive in just over an hour using eSATA and the same process took over 12 hours using USB.

 

This hub is a fantastic addition to the new models of TV’s that are coming on the market such as the Samsung 7, 8 and 9 series because you can plug it into the TV’s USB port and play media from the drive in the caddy or memory cards plugged into the card reader slots.+

 

It features an eSATA port and a USB 2.0 port for connection to your PC. For connection of your devices, it features a push in SATA Bay which will take either 3.5” or 2.5” drives (Tested to 1.5 Terabyte), 2 powered USB ports for connection of USB drives with or without power, an XD Card slot, an SD/MMC Card slot (Tested to 8 Gb), a CF Card Slot and a MS/MSD Card slot.

This hub is available in RED ONLY and is supplied with 240V Power supply, Power cord (OZ), USB 2.0 cable, Driver CD (For older versions of Windows) and a Users' manual.

 

* eSATA hot swapping is dependent upon your motherboard chipset.

 

+ Our in-depth testing indicates that the Samsung TV’s will not recognise external USB hard discs plugged into the hub even though these drives are recognised perfectly when the hub is plugged into a PC. This indicates to us that there is a problem with the Samsung USB implementation.
