Hi All
So, my Dad bought a big caravan that won't fit in his boat shed - a bit too long and higher than the door lintel.
Plenty of height left in the roller door, but he couldn't raise the lintel because it was already at plate height and he'd be into the rafters where it is too narrow for the door...
Solution: extend shed by 1m and replace the roller door with swinging doors shaped into the rafters.
Result: Spare extra height roller door with matching lintel to go above the opening and all kit needed to install it (well, you'll need new raw plugs) in good condition ready for your extra height boat shed/garage.
The door is a series AA manual door and was installed in an opening 3460mm wide and 2500mm high. I estimate the door is over 3500 long, however, as there is plenty left on the roll when fully closed - so you could easily go to at least 3000 height, probably more. The door is 50mm wider than the opening each side too. You could install it in any opening up to 3460mm wide and 3000mm(possibly 3500mm??) high or smaller. You can't cut the door down in width but it gets installed on the inside wall so as long as you have the width inside, you can install it for a narrower opening.
It is "off white", fully operational and in good condition with keys and all the tracks and mounting brackets and u bolts and wall screws all ready to install as you see in the picture.
The paint is slightly faded (but that is being VERY picky!) and there are some small scratches in the paintwork on the metal ridges in a few places where the brickwork rubbed against in when we were removing the door. The scratches could be touched up, or you could give the whole door a coat of paint??. Personally I'd probably leave it as-is as they are not really noticeable from a distance.
The lintel is a 200 x 200 x 10 galvinised T Bar 3900 long. It is as-new apart from the bottom edge has some plaster still stuck to it - knock this off and it is as-new.
The lintel cost over $300 new and the door around $800 new several years ago so this is about $1200 minimum worth of kit - yours for just $500 buy it now or take a chance and bid, you might get it for less... or you might miss out...
Both can be viewed by appointment in Rockingham, just send me a message though Ebay.
