It's an interesting machine you're looking at here. Basically it's a dirt cheap way to get into a 24" iMac equivalent for a lot lower price. Now for those with a short attention span, I'll make it clear. This is not a 24" iMac. It is a 17" iMac coupled with a 24" Dell monitor. The iMac more than a year ago suffered from screen failure, with one or two vertical lines appearing on the display, which were then joined by more, until the whole screen became unusable. It is a known issue with these iMacs. Despite this, being outside warranty, Apple was not interested in repairing it. Never mind I thought, I'll check whether it works with an external monitor. After purchasing the Apple adapter, I connected up a Dell 2405 24" monitor, which is a full 24" 16:10, not 16:9 monitor and low and behold, it worked perfectly. And that's the way it's been for more than a year. The 2405 is a great monitor, not super glossy like the new ones and with some great features like side mounted USB and memory card slots too if I remember correctly. It even has component input so you can connect your XBOX 360 or other game console. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/2405fpw/en/about.htm#Specifioications So basically I just put the iMac under the desk facing the wall, connect the 24" Dell and have that on the desk. You could also use this as a headless Mac for VNC or server duties or Mac Mini alternative. It's up to you. I'll upload a picture in the next day or so if it doesn't sell beforehand. I've put a really low Buy It Now price on so I wouldn't be surprised to see it go really quickly. Local pickup only thanks and cash on delivery highly preferred to avoid delays in making sure alternative payments have cleared. Have a great week and good luck!
