The compatibility is based on the frequence of CPU , if the CPU is under 1GHZ, 256mb pc133 8 chips ram isn't suit your PC ,you need buy 256MB PC100 with 16chips RAM, if your CPU is above on 1GHZ, then 256mb pc133 8 chips ram is suit to your notebook. and the max capacity can be added to 2*256=512MB or 2*512= 1GB, pls check your PC spec..
