EXCEEDINGLY RARE PURPLE SPECTROLITE

When I first began cutting significant amounts of spectrolite, the color in the stone you see below was somewhat scarce.  Over the years this rare purple hue (and its variant shades) became harder and harder to find.  In fact, I have not received any rough cutting material having this specific shade for longer than a year.  Inquiries to miners in Finland resulted in the unhappy knowledge that hardly any purple rough was being found...and that which was located became very, very expensive.  The stone you see below is from my collection and I cut it several years ago.  This beauty weighs an even eight grams.  Its dimensions are 35 x 20 x 6 mm.  I finished both main surfaces.  The two sides vary a bit in color but both are of the rare purple hue.  If you are a collector you might consider owning this rare and expensive stone. And if you aren't successful, keep an eye out for such colored spectrolite and consider snapping it up while you can.  (I don't think any more is being created.)  Your questions are welcome.

PLEASE  READ  THIS>>>>I take my photos at the specific angle to the light to best display the gorgeous spectrolite colors to greatest advantage.  They are NOT meant to be deceptive in any manner; HOWEVER, you should be fully aware that spectrolite is a directional stone and if the stone is not aligned properly to the light, the surface will appear to be a glossy black.  It's a little like the flashing color of a hummingbird; its irridescent hues may appear black when the sunlight moves across the feathery body but when the light is right, the color is spectacular.  Please do not submit a bid unless you are familiar with this directional concept, or you first speak with someone knowledgeable about the characteristics of this fascinating material known as spectrolite.
