SPLENDIDLY COLORED SPECTROLITE CHARMER!

I haven't seen any rainbow banded spectrolite in a long time...far too long.  And while the stone pictured below isn't a ''rainbow'' stone, it does have similar character and sports plenty of the rare purple/magenta hue.  The stone is small, measuring 35 x 10 x 3 mm.  It weighs 2.2 grams.  When I cut this pretty little gem a couple of years ago my aim was to have it finish as a pendant stone and, oriented  with the sharp end down, it really exceeded my expectations!  I was able to polish this gorgeous stone to a mirror-like surface as can be seen below.  Spectrolite of this quality is expensive; expensive for me to purchase the rough material and therein is the reason for the costly bidding price.  I am sure it is worth it to those who know spectrolite, but please look carefully before making a bid.  Beauty of the first order can be yours!

PLEASE  READ  THIS>>>>I take my photos at the specific angle to the light to best display the gorgeous spectrolite colors to greatest advantage.  They are NOT meant to be deceptive in any manner; HOWEVER, you should be fully aware that spectrolite is a directional stone and if the stone is not aligned properly to the light, the surface will appear to be a glossy black.  It's a little like the flashing color of a hummingbird; its irridescent hues may appear black when the sunlight moves across the feathery body but when the light is right, the color is spectacular.  Please do not submit a bid unless you are familiar with this directional concept, or you first speak with someone knowledgeable about the characteristics of this fascinating material known as spectrolite.
