sailing dinghy

Scruffie marine 16' sailing dinghy. Read all about these boats on the Scruffie marine website. they are sold in kit form. I don't know the year this was built however it must have been kept under cover all it's life as there is no decay anywhere.I have owned boat for two years,I sheathed the hull with glass and epoxy six months ago and generally tided things up.( I am a qualified boat builder) These boats have lead ballast in their keels so they are very stable as you can see by the pictures (note catamaran) The lug rig is a bit unusual these days but is very easy to work. mainsail has one reef point and no boom so gybing is very easy and safe. Late models have a bowsprit and a larger jib which would be good in light winds.I would be happy to make bowsprit for new owner from some kiwi kauri I have. A large jib will cost $500 from Scruffie marine. general condition of boat is very good it is all ready to go. The trailer is registered and is in very good condition. boat is easy to launch.Great for taking the kids out but you won't win any races. Reason for sale I am going to NZ to live for a while.
