howdy im putting my suzuki rm 125 up for sale i will tell its story i bought it off ebay 2 years ago and paid 900.00 for it it started and was running nicely when i went to check it out except it has the race jets in the carby so had to keep the rwevs up anyway took it out to sixty ft rode it less than a hour and all of a sudden it died and wouldnt start so took it home check there was no spark so i followed it back and found no spark from the coil so i went and ordered a new genuine suzuki coil over a hunderd dollars put it on and still wouldnt start so took it down to jhon forbrs bike mechanic he checked out and said the stators need to rewound so he sent it off to adelaide to be rewound that cost 350.00 got the bike back started it rode it down the paddock and it stopped again with in 5 minutes took it back to forbes he let set there for 2 months he wasnt interested in going on with it said it needs a another timing backing plate i also put front and back shoes on changedthe gear box oil when this bike was going was very fast so the engine has been raced and i n sure it has been raced before the kid who was selling it scared him lol! was to fast for him this would be a great project for some one who wanted a vintage motorcross i was gonna completly restore it but havent the time tosearch for the parts or the money so just trying to recover some i spent on it what i think it will need is a second hand backing plart on the timing a new spring on the flat slide in the carby got lost in the grass somewhere lol! i replaced the needle with a new one but couldnt locate a new flat slide but the other still ok spring just a little wear ,a new clutch lever that was robbed to put on another bike and the connecting flow hose between the two radiator sides just need to be braised on one side so im just trying to recover some of the cost i spent you can see the bike were in renmark west area on chowilla st give us a ring for a time to see it my mobile ph. 0430804041 it will have to be after 530 pm on week days cheers nice bidding |
