This dress far surpasses other beaded gowns with the most spectacular hand beading using the most gorgeous beads and stones I have ever seen. This gown is worked into nothing less than a couture masterpiece. The heavy supple satin gown is in a rich creamy ivory color with brilliant rhinestones, faux pearls, and beads that are closely looped in thick floral patterns. The dress is fully lined in the same rich satin. There is a metal back zipper that ends about 9.5" from the nape of the neck where there is a hook fastener. The hook is there but the thread loop to hook it too needs restitched. This dress weighs a whopping 4lbs!! Attention to detail was never achieved better than in this dress. Please look at the pictures that show you the inside of the dress to see how meticulous the stitches are that have applied the beading. The condition is excellent with no stains or odors. There are not even armpit stains or odors. The beading is 99.9% intact. The only area where there are missing beads is right in the back where you might expect it. I show the 2 areas that have some missing strands of beads in pictures. It is not highly noticable and the beads missing are straight lines that can be easily fixed. The lining has slight discoloration but it is the lining so it does not show at all. If there is any other mark I have not found it so it would be minor. I have chosen not to iron this dress but a quick steaming will remove the wrinkles and the weight of the beading will assist in that. The age of the dress is unclear but is likely from the late 50's to the 60's judging by the original ownership. The original owner of this dress was a wealthy jet setting socialite with a closet to drool over. This exquisite dress is for those with discriminating and impeccable tastes. The approximate measurements are:
bust, 38"
waist, 33-33.5"
hips, 42" taken 8" down from the waist measurement
length, 52 and 1/4" with an additional 2" hem that is also beaded where it is turned over so there are some extra beads for you to use as replacements.

A GENTLE WORD: EBAY leads you to believe that the star rating system rates have various levels of good however to the seller's account any rating less than 5 stars is the equivalent of a negative rating and harms the seller and their ability to offer unique items to you. When rating please remember that I am not responsible for costs of shipping or for shipping delays once an item is taken to the post office. My communication lines are fully open and I am anxious to assist you. I describe all items to the best of my ability so if you find something not as described it would be an honest mistake so please allow me the opportunity to correct it. If you feel you cannot leave 5 stars I ask that you simply choose not to leave any. Thanks so very much for considering my items.
International orders please understand that priority mail shipping is required because it protects the seller and the buyer whereas first class mail has no tracking information at all and leaves the seller unprotected against unreceived item claims. When an item fits into a small flat rate priority mail box and weighs less than 4 pounds the cost to ship is $12.95. Larger items will ship via regular priority mail shipping and will be calculated according to weight. The charges are set by the post office and not by myself. Thanks for understanding.
Please read my method of MEASUREMENTS: The bust is measured with the garment lying flat and measured straight across from the bottom of one armpit to the other- I then double the measurement for an all around bust. The measurement for the chest of a men's item is taken the same way. The waist and hips are also measured straight across while lying flat and then doubled for a round measurement. The length is always measured from the top of the shoulder straight down to the bottom hem. With a spaghetti strap I measure both from the shoulder top of the strap down as well as from the top of the bodice down. A strapless dress is measured from the top of the bodice down. Measurements come up slightly different depending on who measures so please keep that in mind when buying.
My measurements are a good approximation and I try to err on the side of caution will give you about 1/4" smaller than I am getting with my tape. Vintage preowned fashion items may have evidence of being used. My items are very gently worn unless otherwise noted in the description. Please expect very minor imperfections. Feel free to ask questions before bidding. These items are being sold as is and are also not returnable for wrong size or fit. Go Fashion Forward with fashions past! Thanks for your consideration!
