Auction for ONE PAIR of LAPIS LAZULI EARRINGS. Lovely earrings make a great cabaret or tribal belly dance accessory. Excellent for everyday wear. Genuine Lapis Lazuli. You will receive one pair of earrings in the design shown in the photo. Actual color may vary. Earrings have new surgical steel ear wires. Metal color is a mix of silver and golden tones. Blue Lapis Lazuli. For healed piercings only. Earrings are ethnic costume jewelry. They are not fine jewelry and they are not silver. SIZE: Earrings measure 2.75" long from top of ear wires x .5" wide. COMPOSITION: Base metal alloy containing copper and other metals, surgical steel, commercial quality reconstituted Lapis Lazuli. CONDITION: New condition. Please clean earrings with soap and water before wearing. Hand made by displaced Afghanis in Northwest Pakistan. Contemporary.

All of our Afghani tribal jewelry and Central Asian textiles are authentic. Our items have endured the ravages of travel, time, and especially war. Many of these pieces are not in perfect condition due to age and wear. Stones may be missing or glass chipped & threads worn on garments. We note obvious flaws in our listings.

Most tribal jewelry is costume jewelry composed of various alloys. Some alloys are better than others. Silver content ranges from 30% to 70% silver or less. Base metal alloys may contain quantities of copper, nickel, brass, silver, or other metals. Most of our items are hand made by Afghani refugees living and working in harsh camps on the border.
