Carlton Ware Moonlight Cameo Coffee Cup Saucer c1925

A beautiful Moonlight Cameo coffee cup and saucer made by Carlton Ware circa 1925.

Lovely decoration with two cartouches of dancers to cup on an orange lustre ground with gilt trim. Saucer has orange centre, three blue cartouches with a single dancer and elaborate gilt pattern on a black ground to edge.

Both pieces are in very good condition, colours and glaze are fresh and bright......a little wear to the gilt on rim of cup and a tiny spot of wear to the orange ground on middle of saucer. No chips or cracks.....there is fine glaze crazing to the saucer only.

Cup measures 5.5 cm (2 1/8") high and saucer 10.5 cm (4 1/8") in diameter. Carlton Ware Blue Bird back stamp with pattern number 2944 and number 0/6059.
