TITLE

RADIO CABINET #2

This item can be posted worldwide. Pickup can be in Melbourne (Bulleen) on Sundays and Mondays, or in the Daylesford / Ballarat area most other times.

This week I am selling a variety of mantle radio cabinets, all but one are bakelite. For details on each, check my other auctions.

All cabinets are free from cracks and breakages. They would be very useful to replace a damaged cabinet from another radio with a good chassis. It is sad that so many radios have gotten cracked or broken over the years, such is the nature of bakelite.

All will be packed well if postage is required. The lightness of a cabinet (compared to the weight of a complete radio) means postage is not nearly such a risk.

These cabinets are sold as they are, having been in storage for a while – each would benefit from a good clean and polish. The photos in all cases form part of the description, so please view them carefully. However, I have endeavored to highlight any particular flaws in each one in my description as well as in the pictures. As ever, if you are not sure about anything please ask!

This cabinet (#2)

I have been told this is another Philips cabinet - see q&a below.

This one, unlike the other cabinets I am selling, has been weathered quite a lot. However, with some effort it should polish up well.

Dimensions are about 445mm wide, 300mm high and 220mm deep.

Weight unpacked is about 2kg.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BIDDING OR ASKING A QUESTION....!!!

Most of this is pretty straightforward and will go without saying for many bidders but here it is in black 'n' white!!

  • All payments MUST be made within seven days of auction end, or if I am posting to you, within seven days of you receiving your total amount due. That's plenty of time! I post on Mondays (from Melbourne, to keep it cheaper for you). That means that I will normally post the Monday after the auction finishes, pending cleared payment.
  • Personal pickup is fine (and preferred if you can). If you need more info about pickup times or locations detailed in green text above, please email me with your location. I am usually able to deliver within greater Melbourne out to Ballarat area for a nominal fee, but please ask first!
  • I am happy to answer any questions, but please check description and pictures first to make sure your answer isn't already there!
  • The ongoing increase of costs associated with selling on eBay means that I now need to charge a $5 handling fee on all posted items, which will always be included in postage estimates I send you. I pack well, and use good quality bubble-wrap and boxes. Pickup remains free, of course.
