Ford falcon au 2 station wagon no reserve $499 ex taxi

Hi there I am selling a 2000 model au 2 ford falcon station wagon. It is an ex taxi. I bought this car a couple of years ago, now i need it gone. Tried to sell this car about a month ago, however buyer was from Western Australia, and was mistaken that i am in NSW. So decided not not buy it, his lost will be someone else's gain.

Tyres done a few hundred kms at the most, i bought them form new, at least 95% tread. $400 +

Installed new windscreen $175

Total new exhaust cost $600 have receipt (old one had hole in it, persuaded by exhaust guy to install whole new unit) looking back, probably shoudnt have agreed.

New gas converter. $150

LPG dedicated. NO DUEL FUEL, GAS DEDICATED.

I was going to register it after all this however unfortunatly i cant afford to .  If someone had the time it would be easy to strip it and sell the parts, eg. complete gas unit, gearbox,wheels,pwr windows, diff the list goes on. Then sell the shell to the metal yard for a few hundred. Unfortunately a severe recent back injury prevents me from doing so.

Alternatively go down and get a blue slip and put rego on it and have a cheap runner or work car.

However the car is not without its faults, the paint needs a polish ( very faint outlines from the taxi stickers), few minor dents and scrapes (nothing too bad). The temp guage randomly shoots up to high then comes right back to normal. I rang a mechanic about this he says a bit a dirt would be on the sensor and its not worth cleaning unless it really bothered me, as it only last about 10 seconds every now and again. Gearbox need a service (about $80), when on long drives gears may change to lower gear every now and then, then go back to normal gear.(almost like a hick up) Like before mechanics says it just need a service to clear that up, something about transmision temp.  Also first start up of the day takes about 5-8second, after that every start up is normal, I am told this is normal for gas. Interoir light is out, as is one of the front headlights, apart from this car is really smooth, quiet and nice to drive.

Also it is advertised else where, so i may consider ending it early if the right price is offered. Pick up within 5 Days please.

I have tried to be a honest as possible, the best thing i can suggest is for you to have a look at it for yourself if you want to re-register it.
