Magnificient bronze sculpture from Burma. Circa early 1800s.
This bronze statue is known as Vishnu and was a deciple of the Buddha.
The sculpture has very fine details and has great patina throughout.
There are some damage due to age. One foot is missing.
This statue was puchased from Burma near the Thai border. It was brought over by Burmese peasants in exchange for foreign currencies.
I paid U.S. dollars in cash when I bought it and carted it back to Bangkok where I lived. It was then shipped back to Australia when we came home. It has been in storage for 30 years.
I guarantee the authenticity of this statue or your money back.
Height: 65 cm
