AUTHENTIC 100 year old BALUCH RUG
This Authentic Rare Antique Baluch Pile Rug, Obviously Created over the period 1890 to 1910, Has A Great Range of Vegetable Dyes with a Ground of Black Vegetable Dyed Wool Showing Oxidation and Some Very Dark Brown Vegetable Dyed Design also Corroded. It is an Excellent Example of a Nomadic Tribal Baluch Rug from the North Afghan Iran Border Regions Showing an Archaic Design Layout of Turkoman Inspired Large Guls.
It is 2m x 1.05m (6ft 7 inches x 3ft 5 inches) and in Very Good Condition for Its Age with the Corrosion as mentioned and Some minor signs of its Advanced Age and Even Has its Original Four Strand Goat Hair Selvedges. Interestingly the Hand Spun Wool Pile is Symmetrically Hand Knotted to Hand Spun Wool Warps and Wefts and, as Seen in the Photos it is not Symmetrical in Size as Expected from a Genuine Antique Tribal Rug Created in a Nomadic Environment.
