         This Genuine Original Japanese Woodblock Print by Masao Ido is Entitled Naruto and Shows Some of the Islands in the Naruto Strait, Tokushima Province Japan. It is Extremely Well Detailed, an Early Example of Masao Ido's Artistry, the Very Low Number 7 of the First Very Limited Edition of Only 120 Ever Created and is Hand Signed, Titled, Numbered 7/120 and Dated '79 in Pencil by the Artist. The Artist's Seal, Reading Masa and Japanese Characters can Also be seen in the Bottom Right Hand Corner of the Scene.

         This is a Rare Early Example of this Well Known Artist's Skill and Talent which is in Excellent Condition, Has Never Been Framed, is Hand Printed on Medium Weight Washi, Hand Made Japanese Paper with Good Ink Bleed Through to the Reverse Side and Measures 43.5cm x 30cm (1ft 5.1 inches x 11.9 inches).

          Masao Ido is One of the Most High Sought After Artists at the Moment and Early Works by This Artists are not Readily Available. ABOUT THE ARTIST. Masao Ido was born in North-East China in 1945 then moved to Japan in 1946 where he lived ever since. He studied in Kyoto with Yoshida Koho and Otsubo Shigechika and by 1984 was a Teacher of Seiji Sano. Masao Ido is One of the Most Highly regarded of Contemporary Woodblock Artists and has Work in Many Museums including the New York Modern Art Museum, the Boston Art Museum, the Kyoto and Tokyo National Museum and the Florence Municipal Museum.
