         This Large Format Genuine Original First Limited Edition Japanese Woodblock Print by Masao Ido is Entitled Snow Scene in Nanzen-Ji and Shows the Famous Nanzen-Ji Buddhist Temple, Often Called the Southern Mountain Temple. This is One of the Most Important Buddhist Temples in the World and is Located in the Mountains East of Kyoto. It Displays Masao Ido's Immense Abilities with the Woodblock Medium to Great Advantage, Has Extremely Well Entrenched Colours and Excellent Perspective.

         A Superb Example of this Well Known Artist's Skill and Talent This First Limited Edition Original Woodblock is Hand Signed, Titled and Numbered 71 of ONLY 200 Ever Created all in Pencil in the Bottom Margin and Shows His Red Seal in the Bottom Right of the Scene. It is in Excellent Condition, Has Never Been Framed, is Hand Printed on Medium Weight Washi, Hand Made Japanese Paper with Ink Bleed Through to the Reverse Side, Has Been Safely Stored by Us Since Purchased Direct from Exhibition and Measures 44cm x 32cm (17.5 inches x 12.6 inches). ABOUT THE ARTIST. Masao Ido was born in North-East China in 1945 then moved to Japan in 1946 where he lived ever since. He studied in Kyoto with Yoshida Koho and Otsubo Shigechika and by 1984 was a Teacher of Seiji Sano. Masao Ido is One of the Most Highly regarded of Contemporary Woodblock Artists and has Work in Many Museums including the New York Modern Art Museum, the Boston Art Museum, the Kyoto and Tokyo National Museum and the Florence Municipal Museum.
