LUSTRE WARE WALL POCKET/VASE

 

This vase measures approx 19cm high and 13cm across at the widest point.

It does have a little crazing due to age.

There are a couple of marks where the red appears to have rubbed away. One at the bend on the handle, this is where my mother hung the vase from (see photo), and another on the back of the red tip, which is where the vase would have rested on the wall when hung. These dont feel like chips although I cant be certain, I think that the finish has just worn away over years of being hung. There is also no glaze over the bit on the back that would have sat against the wall.  I'm not sure if it has worn away or was never glazed.

The vase has one large and 7 small holes in the top for flowers to be placed in.

There are no markings on the back.

 

It is a beautiful piece and the winning bidder will not be disappointed
