A little bit of social history ---- this very old 1933 homework excercise book is handwritten essays and corrections from the teacher.

It's a great insight into the thoughts of a student in 1933 and makes for some very interesting reading.

Some of the essays are:

Olando's Speech - (essay of a book?)

Summer Holidays (people on holidays)

House Beautiful - (essay on a house)

Paraphrasing

Advertisements (advertising in the 1930's)..interesting

Description of surroundings - Italian Villa

Description of poem - BELL BIRDS

  • Excercise book is just over half full....50-60 pages written in and the remainder are blank lined pages. Some pages have marks and a couple have tiny tears but nothing that takes away from the authenticity of the book.
  • The writing is, of course, in ink.
  • Cover is coming away form pages and, as you can see by pics, is scruffy - but, taking into account that the book is around 80 years old, it's not in bad condition and consistent to years. Pages are great.
