Principle and Features
Principle: An ozone sterilizer is a multi-function device, adopting the same principle as the generation of ozone by lightning in nature, (ie, using air as the raw material to generate ozone). How Ozone works?
An ozone molecule is formed by the combination of an oxygen molecule (O2) with an oxygen atom (O). This O atom is freed by ultraviolet radiation in sunshine, or produced by high voltage lightning. Most ozone exists naturally in forests and on seashores. Ozone is an inflammable and easily water-soluble gas, with no color and is non toxic. In thin concentration, it has a specific grassy smell similar to fresh air near a forest or beach. In high concentration, it has an irritating pungent odor. When Ozone (O3) breaks down into Oxygen (O2), an oxygen atom (O) becomes free. This oxygen atom (O) is chemically active and has a very strong oxidizing, disintegrating and neutralizing ability, three thousand times more powerful in killing bacteria than chlorine.
How Negative ion works?
There are positive and negative charges in the air. Too many positive ions will leave you feeling depressed, lethargic, headachey and more. Discharge of a high-voltage pin electrodes are able to produce voluminous negative ions. These negative ions are able to attach themselves to airborne toxins and remove the pollutant from the air.
Negative ions and particles magnetically attract to one another. When there is a high enough concentration of negative ions in the air, they will attract to floating particles in large numbers. This causes the particle to become too heavy to remain airborne. As a result, the particle will fall out of the air, preventing it from being inhaled into the respiratory tract where it can trigger breathing and health problems.
The ionized particle will then be collected by normal cleaning activities, such as vacuuming or dusting. If the particle happens to be kicked back up into the air again, it will be ionized, and quickly settled out of the air once again.

Common Sources of Indoor Air Pollution in your Home or Building
- People. About 80% of what you see floating in a ray of sunshine entering your home is dead human skin flakes. And remember, we can only see about 10% of the airborne pollutants. Dead human skin is a staple of the dust mite diet. Negative ions remove dead skin from the air, which also removes a host of dust mites and other bacteria from the air you breathe. Ozone destroys many of the bacteria that reside on these flakes.

- Connecting to power supply: When using this equipment indoor, insert the plug into AC220-240V/50Hz power socket.

Press air speed grade key to select air speed.

Timing selection: turn the timer clockwise to select timing function.

When adopting anion/oxygen function to carry out air sterilization or purification, the anion/oxygen digital display window shall display “0” in bright red. The grade range is from 0 to 9, which can be changed by pressing the anion/oxygen grade key. Press the “Anion/Oxygen” grade key once, then the digital display window shall display a new digit (i.e.: display the current selected “Anion/Oxygen” operating grade). After selecting an “Anion/Oxygen” grade, the microprocessor of the equipment shall automatically control the operation of active oxygen (a light grassy odor can be smelled) or keep the equipment in a standby state.

Grades 1 to 6 are for automatic cycle of air purification operation under low amount of active oxygen;

Grades 7 to 9 are for rapid air sterilization operation under high concentration of active oxygen (continuous work time of active oxygen is between 0.5 to 1.5 hours).

Usually for this model you need to keep the 240 V connector plug clean by using a little sandpaper. A brown deposit builds up due to environmental conditions and excessive oxidation caused by the ozone being generated. It is advised not to place the generator on or near synthetic materials (plastic or melamine etc), and if you do, then provide either a natural air draft to dissipate the ozone, or a pedestal fan running on low.
Precautions

When air purification is being carried out, the equipment is under automatic cycle, now the people do not need to leave the room.

When sterilization is being carried out (7, 8, 9 grades), people shall leave the room under sterilization and only enter the room after the equipment is stopped and the room has been ventilated for 10 to 20 minutes.
