Up for auction is a 253 that I have been working on for my wife.

We were going to pop it into her HT Premier but she has now changed her mind and has since sold the car, hence the reason for the sale.

Engine specs:

• REPCO reconditioned motor done approx 20, 000 kms
• 20 thou over
• 9.5:1 compression
• L34 style heads (large valves) and pocket ported
• Mild CROW cam (part #5602)
• New lifters and new valve springs
• Maxitork single plane manifold (in good condition in water jacket area)
• HK-HG sump and pick up
• 465 Holley (came off a running 253, so jetting should be close, but haven't seen it running)
• MSD Blaster 3 coil and points dizzy
• Also comes with standard exhaust manifolds, starter motor and the original 35A alternator (not shown)
• Engine stand is NOT part of the auction, but will make it easier to load onto a trailer.

We purchased the engine a couple of years ago from a HX Premier. The engine ran fine when we originally purchased it.

We fitted the cam plus new lifters and new valve springs and a 2nd hand 465 Holley but have not started it.

Grab yourself a bargain! Just for the parts alone (sump, heads, manifold), the purchase price is cheap.

All the hard work is done, it just needs a few accessories to make it growl!

Quality engine enamel has been used all over with each of the colours (silver, red and black) meticulously masked I spent many many hours as I am very particular) and the whole lot clear coated for a nice gloss finish that will last for years....
