The Photon LED is a convenient, handheld Photo Dynamic Therapy system for
personal use. It is every bit as effective as its larger siblings for the curing
of acne and the promotion of wound healing and collagen formation. The blue light
destroys acne bacteria by causing the formation of a free oxygen radical that is
poisonous to the bacteria, destroying it. The red light aids circulation to speed
wound healing and the formation of wrinkle removing collagen resulting in
noticeably tighter and healthier looking skin. The two therapies can be combined
together in one treatment.
The back of the unit contains the simple controls. You can choose which light to use
or you can use them together. You can vary the intensity by three levels. You can
also pulse the light, which has been shown to increase healing speed, as the skin
tissues respond over and over again to the reapplication of the light. However the
flashing light can be disruptive, and can easily be made continuous. Finally there is
a timer that goes off at the completion of treatment (about 20 minutes.)

2: Control of Acne (Blue Light)
