You are bidding on one of the most rare and unique items ever sold on Ebay! I am offering 2 fragments of  pottery vessels brought to the Biblical Tabernacle of Shiloh. The Tabernacle of Shilo existed in the portion of the tribe of Benjamin for 369 years and to it came the people of Israel on their annual Holiday (Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles) pilgrimages.

In the Bible it's mentioned that the Prophets Eli, Samuel, Hanna, Saul and King David all visited and worshiped G-d at Shilo when the Mishkan (Tabernacle) was standing. Imagine owning a piece of clay vessel that one of these Prophets used! YOU now have a chance of owning 2 GENUINE pieces of these fragments. Question: Why are these fragments so small and what is their religious significance?

Answer: When sacrifices were brought by Pilgrims to Shilo (and later on to the Temple in Jerusalem) during the Holidays, and sin and thanks offerings, the owners would bring the appropriate sacrifice such as an ox, ram or bird and give it to the Priest in the Temple. After offering the sacrifice on the altar as a "sweet savor unto the Lord",  the Priest would give a portion of the sacrifice to the donor. The donor would have an earthen vessel ready (which he/she brought with them or were supplied by the Priests) to accept the sacrifice. The sacrifice would then be eaten in the clay vessel but ONLY within the area of the Tabernacle or where it can be seen, as stated in the Bible. Once eaten, the vessel, having absorbed the Holiness of the sacrifice would be forbidden to be removed from the area since the vessel itself became Holy. Since the Pilgrims were not able to take these vessels with them, or have them used by others (since they were Holy having absorbed the Holy sacrifice), they broke the vessels within the area of the Tabernacle, rendering their use an impossibility and thus in the process not "profaning" Holy vessels by using them outside the precints of the Tabernacle.

This is why these fragments were once found all over the Shilo Tabernacle area and today are very hard to come by! Get these while you can!
