Minolta AF 200mm f2.8 APO High Speed G lens serial number 15001102. This is the High Speed version of this classic lens that focuses about 30% faster than the standard version. The HS version is identified by the grey focus stop button on the side of the barrel. This lens has been meticulously cared for since new, as is evident in the photos of the real article. The optics are crystal clear, no scratches, dust, marks or haze. The mechanics work as new with smooth focus throughout the range. Aperture blades are clean, oil free and snappy. The lens mount has no visible wear, and cosmetically the lens is in as new condition with no noticeable marks on the lens barrel. The sale comprises the following items: Minolta lens with its integral, retractable lens hood that is fixed in its extended position with a small twist action; Minolta front and rear lens caps, 72mm Hoya UV filter. The lens features a metal retractable sleeve on the barrel that either covers or exposes the focus grip if manual focus is being used. Only reason I'm selling is I've recently bought a Sony SAL 70200G SSM zoom. This lens will function perfectly with all Minolta autofocus SLR and digital SLR cameras, as well as the full range of Sony Alpha DSLRs. On 35mm cameras and the Sony Alpha a850 or a900 full frame DSLRs, the focal length is 200mm, while on APSC sensor DSLRs (Minolta 5D or 7D, and Sony Alpha a100, a200, a230, a300, a330, a350, a380, a500, a550, and a700 cameras), it is an equivalent of 300mm. The lens is remarkably light, fast, well balanced and a delight to use.
