EXPECT TO PAY $10,000 - $15,000 IN A TRADITIONAL GALLERY!
TITLE: Bush Medicine Leaves
PAINTED IMAGE SIZE: LARGE ~ approx 2000 x 1200 mm [plus border for framing]
COMPLETED: 2009
MEDIUM: Acrylic paint on quality pre-primed linen
THE STORY: In a word [or two]: ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Gloria's magnificent large painting depicts the leaves of a particular type of native shrub [kurrajong] renowned for its medicinal properties. These leaves are gathered by the women, boiled over a camp fire to make a bush tea and then the residue is mixed with kangaroo fat to make various healing potions - the perfect natural bush medicine!
THE PAINTING: Without a doubt, Gloria is the 'Queen of the leaves' - nobody can paint them quite like her - and this amazing piece is a simply stunning example of her newer free flowing larger leaf style that is taking the galleries by storm! Subtley beautiful autumn tones are energetically set aginst an earthy red primed background. This sensational piece would undoubtedly enhance any wall that it happened to grace [hung either vertically or horizontally]. And as a guide to its investment potential, you could expect to pay up to $15,000 for a painting of these dimensions in a traditional gallery!
