COMPLETED: 2009
MEDIUM: Artist acrylic paint on double primed Matisse canvas
THE PAINTING: With this extra large superb painting, Damien has lovingly crafted an iconic masterpiece of the highest order. Using a bold pallette of rich colours set against a contrasting black primed background, Damien tells the story of Snake Dreaming. He has used a vast array of traditional symbols to portray the story. His wonderful use of colour, design and sense of movement has to be seen to be truly appreciated. As Damien's star is definitely on the rise in the indigenous artworld, this striking piece is destined to become a serious collector's item of the future - not to mention the effect it would create when hung on the wall now [either vertically or horizontally].
NOTE: Please see other photos below - however, they cannot possibly do this wonderful piece any justice.
