Click Here To Visit My Store Master Hands ~ 1936 run time approx. 27 mins Chevrolet Motor Company presents this 1930s b/w film on automobile manufacturing. See at work the skilled craftsmen whose master hands command the great machinery of production. Go inside the factories and assembly plants in which these cars were made. Footage included of crankshaft forging, casting engine blocks in sand, body panel and fender stamping, a frame and body line, riveting machine heads and more. Film is narrated very briefly near the beginning with the rest of the film set to the sounds of the Detroit Philharmonic Orchestra. Shortly after this film was made, the Chrysler Lynch Rd. plant achieved a production rate of one car per minute. An excellent vintage film showcasing Detroit's factories, heavy machinery and its ability to crank out cars.
