 2009 $1 Great Australian Artists 1oz Silver Kangaroo Proof Collection

One of the most enduring coin series in all of Australian numismatics is the Royal Australian Mint's Kangaroo series. begun in 1993, each year has seen a different representation of the patriotic Kangaroo - with the series from 2007 to 2009 featuring 'roo portrayals from three of Australia's famous artists - Rolf Harris (2007), Reg Mombassa (2008) and Ken Done (2009).

Capping off this superb sub-set of Kangaroos, the Mint has created full-colour versions of the mini-masterpieces created by the artists!

Each 40mm proof coin is struck from one troy ounce of pure .999 silver and has been pad-printed with the vivid original colours of each respective artist's original creation.

Restricted to a limited edition of just 5,000 sets, this full-colour trio is set in an official case with certificate and features 3 miniature easels to display the coins.
